Pizza Event with Pizza Pie Cafe!

Pizza Pie Cafe made some pre-rolled pizza dough that was perfect for a competition like this.

Those suckers were heavier than one would expect.

We had a great turn out and the leaders of the groups all met to grab their pizzas and get some info on when they were expected back for judgment.

Here the fearless leaders wait for their chance to get a a pizza.

This was the first and best Savory pizza that we had tried. It was a Philly Cheese steak Pizza!

We had two style categories, Savory and Desert. Here we have an apple crisp pizza next to a breakfast pizza. Both were excellent.

There were pizzas with Vegitables. Pizzas with Lobster if you can believe it.

We had the honor of having the owners of Pizza Pie Cafe come and help us judge the pizzas.

his one was so good that it made it into an Honorable Mention's category because Matt and Jane felt it was one of the best Smores Pizzas that they had had.

These were the Studs who created the Smores Pizza.

The second place for the Savory category was the Fajita pizza. They BBQ-ed their Chicken prior to cooking it. It gave it a really good flavor and their presentation was bomb.

Matt and Jane sometimes would go back for seconds. Some of the pizzas were just that good.

Matt and Jane gave great insight on the pizza's, dough, taste, texture and overall appearance.

This Beauty won the best Desert category. It was a strawberry pizza with some kind of white chocolate drizzle on the top.

This was the Group that created the Teriyaki and Fresh fruit pizzas.

This one won the most Unique pizza! How cool does that look? It was a Teriyaki chicken pizza. The rice balls on the top were a nice touch.

This was a fresh fruit and Nutella pizza. You just can't hate anything with Nutella attached to it in some way.

This pizza haha hands down, won the best presentation. They had worked sugar and butter into the dough to give it an almost shortcake taste. It was Fresh, delicious and the American flag never tasted so good.

They worked hard and it paid off for them for sure.

Thanks again to Matt and Jane for their expertise and their fun personalities. We all learned a lot from them and hope to work with them in the future.

We had a great time and look forward to more Pizza Pie Cafe sponsored events in the future!

 Congrats to the Best Presentation!

 Congrats to the Most Savory!
